“The lost art of letter-writing”

A very short and sweet TED talk by Lakshmi Pratury entitled “The lost art of letter-writing”
It brings up an interesting question – as our digital capabilities increase we find ourselves forgetting about the “ancient” ways people used to communicate to one another – on paper.
I find that when receiving an actual letter from a close friend or loved one there is a deeper level of communication that can be delivered. There is something tangible about holding a physical object and viewing the actual penmanship of the writer. It makes the message more personal.
Can our digital methods of communicating ever replicate this kind of communication?
